DR. JONATHAN BALLON Diplomate, American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery
Dr. Ballon earned his M.D. at New York Medical College and completed residencies at St. Vincent's Hospital & Medical Center of New York and the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. Most recently, he completed the prestigious MHR fellowship in Hair Transplantation Surgery. "After doing my homework, the choice was obvious: MHR is the clear leader in the field, both clinically and academically, and has produced more quality surgeons than anyone else in the world," said Dr. Ballon. Because of Dr. Ballon's comprehensive surgical experience, coupled with the artistry and technical skill he demonstrated while completing the MHR Fellowship, Dr. Leavitt invited him to join the Medical Hair Restoration team of surgeons. Dr. Ballon is excited to provide the residents of the D.C. area with a permanent, natural result which will help to restore any diminished confidence due to hair loss. Drawing from his experience in neurosurgery, Dr. Ballon brings great compassion to his patients. He recognizes the importance of listening and communicating with patients and their families in order to establish realistic expectations. "It is critically important to understand how a patient's hair loss has affected him or her, and what they would like to be accomplished by surgery," he said. "What I love about hair restoration is the opportunity to apply my surgical skills artistically, and to help people recreate that mental image of themselves they still carry with them from years past. It's incredibly rewarding." Board Certification
